BA 305 - Introduction to Business Analytics
Introduction to data-driven business management analytics. Provides the business rationale for leveraging analytics to improve organizational performance and the challenges businesses face on analytics. Introduces the basis of data science and business analytics for handling massive databases. Covers concepts such as ethical use of data, data mining, data management, the use of key performance indicators, dashboards and scorecards for performance management, text and web mining, and big data analytics. Prerequisite: ECON 221 or equivalent with a grade higher than C- or permission of the department chairperson.
