FYS 101 is designed to assist first-year students in making a successful academic and personal transition to Ball State University. It is the goal of this course to foster a sense of belonging, promote engagement in the university's academic and co-curricular life, articulate to students the expectations of the university and its faculty, aid students in developing and applying critical thinking skills, and help students continue to clarify their purpose and meaning.
