Introduces the art and practice of theatre by examining a variety of analytical tools useful in analyzing and deriving meaning from any play. Covers theatre from the Neoclassical period to contemporary modern and postmodern plays, exploring significant works as both written scripts and potential performances. Prerequisite: DOTD 103. Open only to majors and minors in theatre or dance.
