A map is a complex graphic representation used as a means of communication. Considerable knowledge must be brought to the successful task of reading a map. This course will introduce students to the fundamentals of maps and spatial reasoning. It will acquaint students with the nature and quality of information that maps convey and the methods, techniques and technologies to produce and analyze them.
