Survey of the movements and major figures in architecture and design from the late nineteenth century to the present, with consideration given to the social and cultural context of design ideas. Prerequisite: ARCH 229. Open only to B. ARCH; BA/BS architecture; BA/BS environmental design; HP minors or permission of the department chairperson.
