DANC 488 - Dance Pedagogy |
Teaching methods applied to ballet, modern, jazz, and creative movement. Class explores methods of teaching dance from preschool through adults in private studios, public schools, and higher education. Observation of master teachers, supervised teaching experiences, evaluations, critiques of teaching skills, development of lesson plans, self assessment, and teaching philosophies required. Prerequisite: permission of the department chairperson.
