SPCE 645 - Reading Methods for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students |
Explores various approaches to teaching reading and applies them to reading instruction for deaf/hard of hearing children across the content areas. Curriculum maps and unit plans are developed to integrate reading across the curriculum. Reviews of reading assessments for deaf/hard of hearing students are applied to reading strategies used for fluency, phonetics, comprehension and vocabulary.
Prerequisite: SPCE 640 and 641.
