CPSY 612 - Diversity of Human Sexuality |
This is an introductory graduate-level course exploring diverse biopsychosocial aspects of human sexuality related to the provision of counseling and psychological services. Students will acquire essential foundational knowledge for providing competent and compassionate patient-focused care. Students will become familiar with the current state of empirical research studying human sexuality, including areas where more research is needed. Topics covered include sexual development across the lifespan, sexual and gender identities, health and medical concerns impacting sexual health, and sociocultural factors that influence human sexuality.
