Understanding message exchanges between people and their influence on social interaction. Sample topics include communication models, theories, perception, symbols, systems, self-concept, attitudes, meaning, and nonverbal messages.
Prerequisite: COMM 601 or permission of the director of graduate studies or department chairperson.
