DANC 131 - Introduction to Jazz 2
A continuation of the study of jazz dance technique and theory at the advanced beginning level for students with some previous dance training or practical experience through performance. Emphasis is placed on expanding the jazz dancer's movement and performance vocabulary through warm ups, progressions, and combination work. Prerequisite: permission of the department chairperson; successful completion of a placement examination. Only open to Theatre Majors with a Musical Theatre concentration, Dance Majors, and Music Performance Majors. A total of 3 credits may be earned, but no more than 1 in any one semester or term.
