MUHI 200 - Gateway to Music History |
An introduction to the basic concepts, terminology, and research tools for studying music history. Examples of representative genres, repertoire, styles, compositional techniques, and musicians will be drawn from European art music, popular music and music of Asia, Africa and the Americas. Required for music majors and minors. A grade of C or better is required for all subsequent MUHI courses. Prerequisite: MUST 112
