POLS 140 - Introduction to Law |
Provides students with an overview of legal concepts, procedures, terminology and current issues in law. Course looks at the contexts in which law operates, both inside and outside the courtroom, how law is made, and its impact on the everyday lives of citizens. Students will explore definitions and concepts of law, judicial philosophies, types of law, goals and purposes of trials, and the concept and importance of rights in the United States and around the world.
