SOCW 220 - Social Welfare Policy 1 |
Introduces the historical development, mission, and philosophy of social welfare in the United States with a focus on the analysis of current social welfare programs. Focuses on economic, religious, political, and other socio-cultural influences on contemporary welfare policies and services. Prerequisite: SOCW 100; or permission of the department chairperson. Open only to social work majors and minors and family life educator certification candidates.
