CHEM 361 - Introductory Biochemistry Laboratory |
One-term sophomore level laboratory course designed to complement the one-term biochemistry lecture. It is designed to introduce chemistry of biological molecules and to emphasize important laboratory techniques in biochemistry. Topics include carbohydrate, amino acid, and protein chemistry as well as enzyme kinetic analyses, electrophoresis, and ultraviolet/visible spectral analysis. Prerequisite: CHEM 241 with a final grade of C- or better. Parallel: CHEM 360.
