Chemistry of the elements, including the relationships of chemical properties and atomic and molecular structure, chemical bonding acid-base theories, chemical periodicity, and modern theories of coordination compounds. Three hours of lecture weekly. Prerequisite: CHEM 232 with a minimum grade of C- and MATH 165.
