FR 403 - Seminar in French and Francophone Literature |
Topic to be announced. In this seminar, students will explore an author, genre, period, or theme from French and Francophone literature in detail. This course expands students' knowledge and consideration of others' ideas and values. Readings (such as poems, dramas, short stories, novels, essays, etc.), films, and other media, will allow students to develop a critical understanding of literary texts. Students will explore perspectives of the French and Francophone world in order to compare and interpret them through their own worldview.
Prerequisite: FR 301, FR 302; or the equivalent, or permission of the department chairperson.
A total of 9 credits may be earned.
Recommended prerequisite: FR 360 or FR 401
