THEA 373 - Musical Theatre Scene Study |
Connects acting and singing studios through the use of libretto scenes and their accompanying duets from multiple periods in musical theatre. Students will understand heightened realism in musical theatre and specify the physical and emotional world of the piece, and will learn how to bridge the gap between the spoken text and songs particular to this genre of performance. Prerequisite: permission of the department chairperson.
