SOCW 680 - Social Work Leadership and Administration |
Examines leadership and the organizational context of social work practice. Focus on organizational adaptability and leadership roles at all levels in non-profit, health, and human service organizations. Leadership issues in supervision, conflict resolution, inter-organizational relations, finance, grant writing, budgeting, program development, and evaluation are emphasized. Topics will be adapted to the specific needs of students with respect to their areas of study with vulnerable populations. Prerequisite: SOCW 612 or Advanced Standing status or permission of advisor or department chairperson. Open only to SOCW students or permission of the director or department chairperson.
