CCIM 125 - Fundamentals of Sports Content Creation
Stresses the importance of basic writing fundamentals, high ethical standards and essential values for sports journalists. Students will explore basic multimedia production, introducing audio, video, photo, and graphics as integral complements to sports-related storytelling. Students will learn the basic principles and practices of writing, reporting and interviewing. Students will have an introduction to AP Style and learn the basics of strategic writing for public relations. Students will also learn how to generate high-quality multimedia. Note: CCIM 125 replaces NEWS 105 as a requirement for students in the SJSC sports concentrations. Students taking CCIM 125 should not take NEWS 105 as a Tier 3 Writing requirement.
