HSC 685 - Principles of Epidemiology 2 |
Advanced focus on design and critical analysis of epidemiologic studies. Topics include appropriate selection and application of epidemiological designs, with an emphasis on analytical studies; presentation and interpretation of data in epidemiologic studies; and assessment of bias, confounding, mediation, effect modification, and causal inference. Two key skills will be developed, including critical evaluation of epidemiologic studies and the development of innovative research questions that can be tested with epidemiologic study designs.
