In-depth exploration of concepts in mathematics for elementary teachers, including geometry, measurement, and statistics with a focus on reasoning, sense-making, problem solving, and communicating mathematical ideas. Includes explorations with technology and analysis of connections to the elementary mathematics curriculum. Includes analysis of children's mathematical thinking and connections to the elementary mathematics curriculum.
Prerequisite: MATH 201 with a C- or better grade, or permission of the department chair.
