NUTR 690 - Supervised Practice in Dietetics |
Required supervised practice portion of the ACEND-accredited MS/DI program. This course includes: application of food systems management in an acute care environment, completion of the nutrition care process and counseling individuals and educating groups in an acute care environment, and application of evidenced-based nutrition and health practices in community and business settings. A total of 9 credits must be earned (1000 clock hours). Open only to DI students. A total of 9 credits may be earned, but no more than 6 in any one semester or term.
Prerequisite: Permission of the Dietetic Internship Director
