ECON 221 - Business Statistics |
Business Statistics introduces students to statistical and probabilistic concepts and techniques and applies the concepts and techniques to various business and economic problems. Students will learn how to use data to make informed decisions and communicate their analysis. Topics include measures of central tendency and dispersion, random variables and probability distributions, confidence intervals, testing of hypotheses, simple linear regression, and correlation.
Prerequisite: C- or better in MATH 110 or MATH 111 or MATH 113, or an appropriate score on the SAT/ACT or on the mathematics placement test (SAT Math Score: 670; ACT Math Score: 29; ALEKS Score: 61) or a passing grade (D- or better) in MATH 125, MATH 132, MATH 161, or MATH 165
