ART 231 - Photography: Introduction |
Introduction to the basic techniques and visual literacy of fine art photography. Emphasis placed on camera operation using digital SLRs or mirrorless camera equivalents, image exposure, composition, and editing. The historical methods and varied genres of photography will be applied to a contemporary studio art practice with the end goal of expressing a personal idea or point of view.
Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in ADS 101 or by permission of instructor.
Open only to School of Art majors and minors.
