THEA 251 - Directing 1
An introduction to the theories and practices of directing for the stage. Exercises in analysis, interpretation, staging, and collaboration. Prerequisite: DOTD 103 with grade of C or better. Prerequisite waived for students enrolled in Minor in New Works for the Stage. Open only to majors in theatre with a concentration in Directing, Stage Management, Theatre Creation, Teaching Major in Theatre, or Minor in New Works for the Stage.

Schedule Types: Lecture, Study Abroad, Online Fixed Times (Synch), Studio, Online (Asynchronous)

Restrictions:
Must be enrolled in one of the following Levels:     
      Undergraduate
      Graduate
Must be enrolled in one of the following Fields of Study (Major, Minor, or Concentration):
      New Works for the Stage
      Production Directing
      Production Stage Management
      Teaching Major in Theatre
      Theatre Creation

Mutual Exclusion:
This course carries a mutual exclusion with the following courses; you may not enroll in it if you have completed any of the following with a passing grade:
