ECYF 392 - Children, Youth, and Families in Clinical Settings
Foundations of child life practice in a clinical setting inclusive of relationships among child, family, and the health care team. Provides in-depth study of therapeutic interventions and activity planning to support children through coping and comfort techniques during stressful situations related to health and medical procedures. Review of child life certification process toward becoming a Certified Child Life Specialist. Prerequisites: ECYF 100 or FCFC 100 or EDEL 100 or SPCE 201; B or better grade in ECYF 292 or ECYF 492 or FCFC 492 and B or better grade in ECYF 250.
