Theory and practice of blood bank organization and procedure. Genetics and immunology of blood group systems; selection of donors; collection, processing, and storage of blood; preparation of blood products; typing, compatibility, and pretransfusion tests. A total of 10 credits may be earned. Open only to medical technology students in the clinical year.
