MUHI 436 - Music in the Classical Era
A survey of vocal and instrumental music of the eighteenth century, including the various styles that marked the transition from the baroque to classical music, the rise of comic opera, and the development of the symphony, concerto, sonata, chamber music, and keyboard literature. Prerequisite: MUHI 200 with a C or higher and MUHI 331 with a D- or higher Open only to music majors.
