Statistical methods for fitting parametric actuarial models, maximum likelihood estimation for censored or truncated data, hypothesis tests and model selection, basic ratemaking and loss reserving for property and casualty insurance, actuarial models for individual health insurance. Prerequisite: C- or better in MATH 457 or permission of the department chairperson.
