Immature and adult stages of aquatic insects, including collecting techniques, identification, ecological requirements, morphology, and evolutionary adaptations to lentic and lotic conditions. Emphasizes aquatic insects as indicators of environmental quality and stress. Prerequisite: ZOOL 541 or permission of the department chairperson. Not open to students who have credit in ZOOL 484.
