PLAN 588 - Advanced Topics in Real Estate Development |
The primary goal of this course is to further students' knowledge about private real estate development, specifically relating to the world of real estate finance. Students will demonstrate the proper application of the terminology and tools in real estate finance for both residential and commercial projects. Students will create financial models to illustrate a real estate project's financial performance and will demonstrate how real estate developers can assess a project's overall feasibility. Students will also learn about how properties are valued and will analyze various decisions property owners and investors make as it relates to investing in real estate.
Prerequisite: C or better in PLAN 587
