Presents the skills needed to recognize, manage, and refer patients with a variety of psychological and mental health concerns which could affect the patient and rehabilitation process. Teaches how to help the patient adhere to their treatment plan which could include referrals, counseling, and/or pharmacological therapy.
Prerequisite: permission of the program director.
