Covers significant issues in the assurance services in big data environments. Topics include the impact of technology/big data on the assurance process, client risk assessment, statistical data analysis, audit judgment, decision-making processes, and the use of complex decision aids. Provides students with a framework to think critically about significant issues facing the accounting profession. Prerequisite: ACC 451, Min Grade C- or equivalent; Open only to MS in accounting majors or by permission of the department chair.
