PHYC 676 - Quantum Mechanics
Review of fundamental concepts of quantum mechanics; matrix methods applied to harmonic oscillator, angular momentum and barrier problems; applications involving spin and relativistic effects, many-particle wavefunctions, one and two electron atoms, perturbation theory, transition rates, and scattering theory. Prerequisites: PHYC 464 with C- or higher or equivalent, MATH 267 with C- or higher or equivalent
