DANC 241 - Hip-hop Dance Forms 1 |
This is a technique course that approaches dance from a historical perspective and uses "Hip-hop" as an umbrella term to identify various vernacular dance forms. The course dissects African American diasporic dance forms through the lens of social, street, club, and funk styles such as hip-hop, breaking, house, waacking, and locking. Open only to majors and minors in dance and majors in musical theatre.
A total of 6 credits may be earned, but no more than 2 in any one semester or term.
