Introduces the processes controlling the composition of natural waters; streams, lakes, oceans, and near-surface groundwaters. Focuses on the effects of human activities, biological systems, and inorganic geochemistry processes on water chemistry. Prerequisite: CHEM 111, 112; GEOL 101; or permission of the department chairperson.
