HIST 368 - Public History Careers and Internship Preparation |
Students are introduced to careers in the public history field such as those in museums, archives, living history sites, historic homes and parks, as well as those utilizing oral history and digital history methods. Students are then guided through the internship preparation process in one or more of these areas. This process includes researching internship opportunities, contacting host sites, scheduling interviews, formalizing an offer, and designing a project plan. Prerequisite: HIST 240 with B- or higher.
