EDPS 393 - Learning & Assessment in Elementary Education |
Study of the psychological principles underlying the processes of teaching, learning, and assessment. Primary focus is provided on best practices in assessment, research-based strategies to promote learning and motivation in schools, and using data to support decision making in classroom contexts. Content will cover the theoretical bases of these concepts as well as promoting the applied implementation of best practices in early childhood and elementary school settings.
Prerequisite: EDPS 260 or permission of the department chairperson.
Not open to students who have credit in EDPS 390 or EDPS 391.
